I build software to solve problems I run into in my own work, research, writing, fitness and everyday life. When a tool turns out to help someone else too, I would rather hand it over than put a price on it — so these applications are free to download and free to use.

How I approach building software
Your data stays yours
These are desktop applications, not services. Your work lives in ordinary files on your own computer, and there is no account to make and no server holding your records.
Free wherever possible
No subscription, no locked features, no trial that expires. If you find a tool useful you can support the work — but nothing is held back until you do.
Still being worked on
These are living projects with published version numbers and release notes, not abandoned downloads. Bug reports and corrections are welcome and get read.

Offline writing & worldbuilding studio
A manuscript editor, worldbuilding database, research workspace and publishing toolchain in one application. Chapters and scenes, twenty-five record categories, mind maps, story arcs, revision history, and export to PDF, EPUB, DOCX and six other formats — with a local AI engine that never sends a word anywhere.

Research protocol tracking & knowledge platform
A local-first research workspace that keeps protocols, subjects, timelines, evidence-tiered knowledge, supplies and reports in one place. Design a titration, watch it render on a timeline, and produce a report that still reads correctly a year after the protocol changed.
Prime Edge Systems
Fitness, nutrition & coaching
Body measurements, progress photos, workouts, food logs, health records, goals, habits and client records — all stored in a database only the application can read, on your own device. Every network feature ships switched off and is opt-in, and there is no crash reporting, no analytics and no telemetry.

Household & business money
Track every bill and debt, see the month you become debt free, and invoice your customers if you run a business. Sixteen screens of the real application on its own page, three packages in one download — website, Windows and phone — and a demo you can try in the browser with nothing to install.

Every application on this page is free, and it stays free. There is no paid tier waiting behind the download, and no feature is held back for people who contribute. If one of these tools saves you time or does something you would otherwise have paid for, a contribution helps fund the next release — but it is entirely optional, and you will not be asked again.
Payments are handled by Square. Contributing unlocks nothing, creates no account, and is never required to download or use any of the software above.
