Trash and Archive

Trash and Archive

QuillArk never permanently deletes your work.

Trash

Deleting anything moves it to a Trash folder, together with a record of where it came from. Restoring puts it back exactly where it was, including its place in the reading order.

There is deliberately no Empty Trash button and no permanent delete anywhere in QuillArk. To remove files for good, use Open Trash folder and delete them yourself in your file manager, where you can see exactly what you are removing.

Archive

Archiving is for work you want to keep but not look at. It behaves the same way and restores the same way; it simply means something different.

If a name is already taken

If something else has taken the name while an item was away, the restored copy is given a new name rather than overwriting what is there. Both survive.
