Editing files outside QuillArk

Your files are yours. Edit a chapter in Notepad, sync your Books folder with a backup tool, or reorganise things in your file manager — QuillArk watches the folder and keeps up.

If you both change the same file

If a file changes on disk while you are editing it, QuillArk does not overwrite either version. It saves your text to a safety copy immediately, then shows you both versions side by side so you can choose:

• Keep mine — your version wins; the other is kept as a revision.
• Keep theirs — the version on disk wins; yours is kept as a revision.
• Keep both — the two are joined into one document so you can merge by hand.

Whichever you choose, nothing is thrown away.
