Worldbuilding

Worldbuilding

Every record in World works the same way: a name, a summary, a description, images, tags, relationships, and a set of fields suited to what it is.

Categories

Your project starts with the categories that suit its genre. Add more from World → Add category, and invent your own if nothing fits. A custom category behaves exactly like a built-in one.

Fields

Each category has its own fields, and every field is optional. Advanced options reveals the more detailed ones. You can add your own fields to any category: text, dates, numbers, yes/no, lists, colours, ratings, or a link to another record.

Relationships

Link records to each other — parent, ally, mentor, located in, and so on. The Relationship graph shows the whole web and lets you walk through it.

Where it lives

Each record is one Markdown file with a small YAML header, in a folder named after its category. You can read any of them in Notepad.
