Unplaced scenes
Scenes do not arrive in order. You see an argument three chapters ahead of where the book currently is, and you want to write it now without deciding where it goes.
Story → Unplaced scenes is where those live. Write one there, leave it, come
back to it. They are ordinary Markdown files in Story/Scenes, so you can read
them with anything.
When you know where a scene belongs, press Place in manuscript. QuillArk creates a document at the end of the book with the scene’s text, and you drag it where it goes.
Placing copies the scene rather than moving it, so nothing is lost if you change your mind. When you are sure, send the leftover to Trash — which is recoverable.
A brain dump can become a scene too: in Brain dumps, choose Turn into → a scene, and it appears here.
