Your manuscripts stay on your computer.

QuillArk has:

  • no account and no sign-in;
  • no telemetry, analytics or crash reporting;
  • no advertising;
  • no background uploading of any kind;
  • no code that sends your writing anywhere.

The only network connection QuillArk can make is to an AI server running on your own machine, and only if you turn that on. The address is checked to be a loopback address before any request is made, so a mistyped setting cannot send your work elsewhere.

QuillArk keeps a small troubleshooting log in your Books folder under _QuillArk/Logs. It records what QuillArk was doing and what went wrong. It does not contain your manuscript text, and it never leaves your computer.
